Vial Filling and Capping Machine
Vial filling and capping machine is a pharmaceutical equipment used for vials and ampoules for the food, medical, and biotech industries. These vial filling machines ensure volumetric consistency to reduce product losses and come with built-in quality control systems.
The SS slat conveyor effortlessly moves sterilized vials to the filling station. Here, liquid is filled with nozzles, and then the vial is transferred to the star wheel for rubber stoppering.
Liquid Filling Station
The vial filling machine is used to process pharmaceutical products in a sterile environment. It uses a conveyor belt to transport the bottles through the cleaning, washing, and filling processes. These machines are designed for a wide variety of bottle sizes and shapes. They also feature a safety guard that protects the components of the machinery from damage and extends their lifespan.
The liquid filling station of a vial filling and capping machine can use either a peristaltic pump or a volumetric pump to fill liquids in the bottle. The nozzles are adjustable to match the height of different bottles. The system is also equipped with a digital positioning gauge to help ensure accurate filling.
The nozzles are connected to a star wheel that holds the vial during the filling process. This ensures that the vial is completely filled and prevents spillage. After the vial vial filling and capping machine is filled, it moves to a rubber stoppering/bunging station where it gets a rubber stopper attached. The machine can be set up for two or 12 heads depending on the application.
Conveyor Belt
The vial capping machine is an automated system designed and built to handle small polypropylene screw on cap microcentrifuge tubes and vials. It feeds vials and caps from a vibratory bowl to the machine, which then singulates each vial into a specific index position where it is capped. Vials that are not properly capped or indexed are rejected, and the entire process takes place within a sterile environment under laminar flow protection.
The system features a SS slat conveyor belt and an eccentric pre-gassing, filling, and post-gassing mechanism for accurate liquid transfer. It also has a star wheel that holds the vials for the filling operation. The nozzles are made of AISI 316L material, and the filling is done through an up/down motion. A special sensor is provided to ensure that “No vial, no filling” condition is achieved.
The machine is capable of sealing aluminium or plastic caps over the vials. The capping process is quick and efficient, and the low-particle single-disc sealing principle reduces contamination risk significantly. The capping system can be connected to the vial filling machine or a freeze dryer in one line for seamless production.
Filling Heads
Our vial filling capping machine is designed for a wide range of liquids such as pharmaceutical, essential oil, injection, healthy drink and special solvent production. It has a hopper that holds the bottles, which can be made of either glass or plastic. These are then filled with the desired liquid and then capped with the rubber stoppers. The machine is manufactured in compliance with GMP standards and all the parts that come into contact with the liquid are made from AISI SS 316L materials.
This ensures that the machine is free from any corrosion. It also has a safety guard for the conveyor gearbox, motor and pneumatic cylinders. It also features a servo control system and can provide an accuracy of +/- 1 percent.
This is a highly efficient and reliable machine that can help you meet your production goals. It is also easy to operate and maintain. It is an ideal choice for small-scale pharma producers who want to increase their productivity without increasing vial filling and capping machine the cost of operation. This machine also helps to reduce the risk of contamination by eliminating manual processes and reducing the time it takes to change over production lines.
Stoppering Station
Designed for use in a sterile area, the vial filling and capping machine is operated under laminar flow protection. Its compact design allows it to be placed in a small footprint, minimizing the space required. It is equipped with a Stainless Steel Stat conveyor belt for effortless vial movement. The unique eccentric pre-gassing, filling and stoppering reduces the risk of contamination and ensures high product quality.
The incoming dry vials are fed through the unscrambler and suitably guided on the moving SS slat conveyor belt to be placed below the liquid filling unit. The nozzles on filling head discharges the pre-determined liquid into the vials. When the vials get filled completely, they move to the next station where the rubber stoppers are inserted.
NJM’s SX-300-Lyo aseptic filling and stoppering machine fills up to 7,200 vials per hour at a continuous servo-driven rate. It can be configured to use either rotary piston pumps or peristaltic pumps and offers the ability to accommodate multiple stopper sizes. The SX-300-Lyo is suitable for lyophilized suspensions, vaccines, and cellular tissue.
Sealing Station
The vial filling and capping machine features a SS slat conveyor that effortlessly moves the sterilized vials to the filling station. It has multiple heads or nozzles that enable quicker and more precise filling of the pharmaceutical ingredients into the vials. This system complies with the cGMP standard and ensures that all operations are carried out smoothly and accurately.
Once the liquid is filled into the vials, they are transferred to the stoppering station, where they get capped with appropriate bungs. This is an important step in the process because if there are any contaminants during this phase, it could seriously affect the chemical composition of the pharmaceutical ingredients.
This machine uses a low-particle alu-sealing technology to seal the vials. This allows the vials to stay sterile throughout the production process. It also ensures that the bungs fit correctly and tightly. This prevents any leakage of the product. The machines are built for versatility and can be used for a variety of applications, including cosmetic, essential oil, injection, and health beverage production. They can be easily connected to the capping and labeling machines to become one complete production line.
